Why do you want to serve on the Board?
The French Broad Coop community is important to me. The Coop has provided excellent food options, service, and opportunities to my family and our community. I would like to give back to the Coop by serving on the board, particularly during this challenging time.

For me, the Coop is a trusted source for food and personal health care, an important entrepot for personal health resources. I rely on the Coop as a source of community information.

Weekly
How would you describe Co-ops to a stranger?
The Coop is the most trusted source for good food in our community, it is an anchor in downtown Asheville, helping keep local community spirit alive.
What else would you like us to know about you?
For more than 20 years I have been dedicated to building just and sustainable economic communities through my work as a project management consultant and as a documentary filmmaker. I have been involved with French Broad Food Coop for eleven years as a customer, a member, and as the spouse of a long-term employee (for full disclosure, my spouse is Mary Hall Rodman). Having worked and collaborated closely with many diverse organizations, both professionally and as a volunteer and board member, I would like to make my skills and experience useful to the board and members of FBFC. The Coop is facing unprecedented challenges and opportunities. I hope to engage Coop members in our decision-making and planning processes to ensure FBFC responds to the challenges in a way that best reflects our community and membership.
